Well I have decided to plan at least one USG Expedition in 2010 that will take some effort. I want to make a trip back to the place I saw the tracks when I was 18. I want it to be at least 4 nights. It will take some good planning and there is some equipment I need to get before then. This will also be a motivator for me to get in better shape.

Here are some thoughts as to why I want to go back.
1. Because that is where it all started and I want to see the place again.
2. I am fairly certain that no one has been Squatching there.
3. Every time we went there in our youth strange things happened and they came near our camp.
4. We found prints that were in the open and easy to see once near them. I am hoping they have passed this trait down and they are not cautious about leaving tracks and will still leave them in track traps.

Some draw backs will be lack of equipment. It would be nice to have some but that is not going to stop me. I am hoping to have a good camcorder by then. If that is the case and I can get a Squatch in my IR from my night vision I will be able to film it. Both of my trail cams have died so I won't have any of those. I also hope to have a better recorder by then. I plan on going mid to late summer next year.

If this area is the same I think it could yield something. I also thought I would never go back so it is kind of exciting thinking of this Expedition.

I have been putting tons of thought into this lately. I think it will be tons of fun and if all goes well I might turn it into an annual thing. Now I am just seeing who is willing to do it. Whoever goes won't be able to run to a car if things get unnerving.

We talked a little bit about your previous adventure during the Utah Trip.  I would need a few more specifics but I'm interested.

I definitely want to go!!  Grin I just have to work out a bit more and become a little stronger so I won't have a hard time with my pack.

This trip is no longer a go. To many other trips have come up.

We have been out lately to a spot we are planning on camping at in a few weeks. We found a good trail that will be easy to navigate during the night. I am very excited to get the first camping trip going. I have a new audio recorder so my hopes are to get something good this year. Most of all I want to find some cast worthy tracks. When our main opens up that is where I am going to really push it and hopefully we score some good tracks. We also get a reasonable amount of vocalizations in this area.

Sounds like a plan. We can always do this trip another year.

I agree.  But I do think we should still plan on doing this trip another year.  I think it would be a really great opportunity to get some really good stuff.  But when you decide to go let me know!! I would still love to do that!
