Where do I begin. I have been interested in Sasquatch since about 1982 when as a youth I was with a group who found some tracks. There were three sets in a remote region of Wyoming. You had to drive about 20 or so miles back on a dirt road and then hike 6 miles back to a lake. We were camping on the edge of this lake when a few of us found the tracks in a giant mud slide. I was not part of the original group but was taken to the tracks. Very clear unmistakable tracks in a gray mud, almost like a potters clay. There were three sizes with the smallest being a bit larger than my own. The mudslide had covered the ground entirely except for trees and large shrubs. There were some fallen trees that were also showing. The tracks went everywhere. The mudslide was not quit the size of a football field. I never pursued looking for the big fellow because it was to unknown to me and I did not have any knowledge what so ever as to where to begin. Around a year ago I was introduced to the BFRO. I read up on it and wanted to go on an Expedition. The mystery was more tangible for me with the fear of the unknown going away. Not that it is still not unnerving to look for Bigfoot because it still is. Well I have now attended some BFRO Expeditions and thoroughly enjoyed them. I have also been on several outings here in Utah and I am chomping at the bit to go back every time.
I do have other interest. My family is first as always. I am grateful that my lovely wife supports me in my new found hobby. I am lucky enough that all of my children love the topic of Sasquatch and always want to go with me. I enjoy playing paintball, the great outdoors, camping and looking for Sasquatch. I also paint miniatures and I am part of a website called the Terrainthralls. My name is ‘Scarab’ on that site and we put together tutorials on how to build terrain for various gaming systems. I enjoy the detail that goes into painting and building, working with my hands and being creative. I was an avid hunter for around 30 years. My Father also owned a Motel in West Yellowstone so I had the great opportunity of growing up tromping around Yellowstone Park. My brother and I had a passion for taking pictures in Yellowstone.

I’m not very good at this, but I’ll give it a shot. I’ve always kind of been interested in Sasquatch. When I was little, it was fun and intriguing to watch Bigfoot shows. A few years ago my dad told me his experience with Sasquatch from when he was a teenager. That’s when I officially believed in Sasquatch. I haven’t been on a BFRO Expedition, but I plan on going next year. I have been on several outings in Utah. I’ve only had class B experiences. I’m not quite sure if I actually want to see one yet. I’m torn on the subject. The experiences I have experienced were pretty awesome and freaky. I’ve heard everything from woodknocking to screams to whoops and more. I have also seen eye shine for a split second. Now that was freaky.
I do have a life outside of Squatching. Right now I’m a freshman in college. I attend Weber State University and am majoring in Social Work. I am also an artist and love to draw and paint. I love to hang out with my friends and family. I also enjoy volunteering at Head Start and preschools. I love playing with little kids. I also love the mountains and the outdoors. Camping is one of my passions, and since we started Squatching I get to do it all the time!

In the summer of 2008 my friend began telling me about her hobby, Squatching. I was very curious and intrigued. At first I did not know what to think. I thought it was very different but in a good way. I began going with this new family and realized how much fun I had! I love going camping and being outdoors, so this was a 2 in 1 bonus!! Although I am very new at Squatching, I have had several class B experiences. I have heard some vocalizations and I have also heard a “thumping” noise. These experiences have changed my fascination into an extreme hobby. I want to go on a BFRO expedition in the upcoming summer.
Not only do I love Squatching and the outdoors, but I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am going to Weber State University in the spring and I am going to major in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. I also enjoy reading especially, the classics and books that have a very strange twist or unsuspecting ending.

My name is Chad Hamblin, and I’m from a small community just north of Roosevelt, Utah. I attended the Bigfoot Field Researchers’ Organization (BFRO) Utah expedition in 2007 with my dad. It was the first BFRO expedition in Utah, and was the first expedition for my dad and I - and it was an experience we both enjoyed very much. I later became a BFRO investigator, and since then I’ve enjoyed talking to people about the things they’ve heard and seen here in this state. I’m impressed with the number of reports here in Utah, and with the sincerity and credibility of people who have submitted reports.
I remember talking with my cousins about bigfoots as a young kid, and I’d always hoped there was such a thing. By the time that first Utah expedition was over there was no doubt in my mind that bigfoots exist. I hadn’t seen anything myself on the expedition, but I had firmly believed the people who had said they did. Also, I believe I heard bigfoot “whoooop” sounds twice during the expedition, and my dad also heard the second one. These calls didn’t sound like anything either of us had ever heard before.
Last year my dad and I attended the Wyoming Expedition (the first for that state). We didn’t hear or see any sasquatches on that expedition, but got to see and hear the next best thing to a sasquatch, which is – other people who had just seen and heard a sasquatch. We were especially amazed at how it affected one of the participants – he had seen it the closest and was very shook up. I later asked dad “was that the same guy we talked to this morning?” I could hardly believe it was – he seemed so different after his experience.
I’m a life sciences/biology teacher at a therapeutic boarding school in my community. I work with students from all over the country, and some from outside the country. They all know I’m obsessed with sasquatches, and I think some of them are becoming obsessed about them too. None of their parents have complained yet, and some of them seem to be believers too. I go to some of our school’s basketball and volleyball games dressed as a sasquatch (we didn’t have a mascot, so I decided to take it upon myself to fill that role).
I enjoy spending time in the outdoors hiking, cross-country skiing, and camping, and I’ve been an assistant-scoutmaster for about a decade now.
I live on a small farm with a few donkeys and sheep, as well as a couple of dogs and a cat.
I enjoy music and usually bring a few musical instruments with me on bigfoot expeditions.
For me, being involved in this research is a dream come true.
