Luckycharms, myself and a newbie which we will call Snowglobe took a trip up to Upchuck to mainly camp and do a little squatching. We got there a little before dark and set up camp and started a fire. We sat around the fire and talked for a while as we were waiting for it to get a little darker so we could go squatching. Around 10 o-clock we decided it was time and we walked about 50 yards from camp which was not as far as we wanted but there were a lot of other campers up this weekend. So when we decided that we had gone far enough we discussed the game plan and protocol for squatching with Snowglobe. Shortly after we had lucky do a howl and another shortly after then we listened for a response.. All we heard in reply from other campers that seemed to be having a party! Lucky did one more call and then we decided to return to the fire and relax, and try to be louder then the rest of the camper! After an hour had gone by we decided to go back to our spot and do some more vocals! This time Lucky did a howl and then after a couple minutes I did a couple woops! We followed up with me doing more woops and Snowglobe copying me so she could try. This time we heard something, a faint howl coming from up the Canyon and up the mountain! Which was the opposite direction of the campers we heard earlier but it was not a definitive sound so we can not say it was anything spectacular! After this we again returned to the camp to get ready for bed! So unfortunately we had a pretty uneventful night!
